This page will give you more information about the great days rides offered by Studland Stables. Our day rides are generally scheduled on set dates from May to September. Don't forget if you have a minimum group size of 5 riders we may be able to discuss a date to suit you. Our day rides are suited to the able rider only who is experienced in open hacking. We have a minimum age of 12 for all day rides.

Corfe Castle Day Ride

This is an old favourite on many riders so book early to avoid disappointment! After leaving the stables you will ride for just over 2 hours through heath land and forest. Eventually arriving at the foot of Corfe Castle. You will then ride for about 500 metres through the village before you arrive at the lovely Castle Inn. As the road through Corfe can be quite busy you will need to have had previous experience of road riding. If it is not raining the main course and soft drink provided with this ride is normally enjoyed in the beer garden …with the horses!
The ride back to Studland is along 'Nine Barrow Down’ and 'Ballard Down' where you will enjoy some of the most spectacular views in the area.
The cost for 4 hours riding, main course and soft drink is £115.

Rempstone Farm Day Ride

This is a great ride organised in conjunction with Clare and Andrew Head of Cedar Organics @ Rempstone Farm. Your lunch time break will consist of delicious free range, organic food and locally produced wine. No ‘food miles’ here and if you like what you have tried you can arrange for produce to be waiting back at the stables for you to take home. (subject to availability) Before lunch you will spend about 2 and half hours exploring the beautiful forests around Poole harbour. Your 2 course lunch will be freshly cooked for you and includes a glass of wine. After lunch make your way back to Studland along 'Nine Barrow Down’ and 'Ballard Down' where you will enjoy some of the most spectacular views in the area. We always have a lot of interest in this ride so please do plan ahead if you would like to join us. The cost for 4 to 5 hours riding, 2 course lunch and glass of wine is £125.
