STUDLAND RIDING STABLES – September Newsletter

Hello again…

So the evenings are drawing in and we are almost getting breakfast for the horses in the dark..yuk - but, wait, the beach riding season is almost here – Yay!! The horses have just enjoyed a two week holiday and have lovely big grass tummies Horses on the beach - time to get them fit and ready for what is usually our busiest time of year.

We also have a new booking system, which hopefully will keep all sorts of data in one place. Please do bear with us if it takes a little longer to process things at first – we are trying to drag ourselves into the 21st century.

We have been really pleased to have a great team of staff over the summer, which I am sure many of you will have met. We are now saying goodbye to Josh and Diana who are moving on and we wish them all the best for the future, although hopefully they won't be strangers.

Looking forward to seeing you soon,
Stuart, Helen and the team.

Storm leads his first day ride.

Storm was a new addition to the yard a few months ago and has been slowly Storm leads his first day ridecoming into work as he was quite uncomfortable on his feet for a while. He has officially 'arrived' now as he led his first day ride to the Castle Inn pub in Corfe, and was a real star. hide and seek in the beer garden

Cale (another recent arrival) also did his first day ride and took it all in his stride with regular rider Mark. He was so relaxed he even started a game of hide and seek in the beer garden.

Book now for the final day ride of the year to Corfe Castle - see the Day Rides page on the website for details...

More new arrivals

Hattie

Some of you will have noticed we had a colour theme going on with the last two horses arriving at the yard being grey mares – Hattie is a wonderful TB x I.D who quickly became a favorite lead horse but has also settled nicely into the rides with customers (there is still a 'discussion' about who gets to take her on the beach first!)

Our other arrival is Mia who has come to us as a working livery - she is a stunning Spanish x Arab and we have very high hopes for her. She has been in the UK about a month now and is settling nicely into Dorset life.
Visit the horse profile page on our website which has all the new horses and updated pictures of our old ones!
